Integrity

The training objective was to comply with Bloodborne Pathogens Standard 8 CCR 5193 (29 CFR 1910.1030) and Hazardous Communication Standard 8 CCR 5194 (29 CFR 1910.1200) requirementsin accordance with California and Federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration. Integrity Environmental developed the training curriculum and provided training packetsfor use by the custodial staff. Training included an explanation of appropriate methods for recognizing potential hazards; explanation on how to minimize hazards by utilizing engineering controls, conducting safe work practices, and wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment; and information on the appropriate actions to take in case of an emergency, post-exposure evaluation and follow-up that is required by the employer. The training topics were explained in a manner that was applicable to the trainees. Integrity Environmental trained 360 custodians for the client.The 1-hour training for Bloodborne Pathogens and 1-hour Hazardous Communication Standard training sessions were budgeted for each training topic.
